Kickoff Meeting
For The Developers
Lisbon, Portugal
/ People, code, trends
It was on Nov, 2023

Bye-bye world!

Hey, folks!

My name is Eugene Vasilkov. I'm a founder of EpicHey!, and today I want to say goodbye.

EpicHey! last year was the first and only one. There will never be another one like it again.

For many years I was organizing one of the best developer conferences, CodeFest. In 2022, I sold CodeFest and moved to Portugal.

My first wish was to try to realize the previous experience in new conditions: a new country, a new team, a new audience, everything new and unknown.

I thought about it and did it :)

Some things turned out well, some not, but it was an amazing experience in a team with the best people of today!

This experience helped me to get to know the local community, Portugal, and the Portuguese better. Getting to know a lot of amazing people is priceless.

However, I realized that the conference experience needs to be left in the past. I have another passion now.

For the last year, my passion has been my new startup, Napkin Team—a team-friendly task&project management tool. Simple, transparent, the best one for asynchronous communications. I want to focus all my efforts on it.

Thanks to the awesome members of EpicHey!

Thanks to the amazing speakers!

Thanks to the partners!

Hugs to the dream team!

See you again some day. Bye-bye. 👋

Amazing Speakers

The program was full of amazing talks about people, code, trends, and people again. All talks underwent a careful selection process by our program committee. We didn't accept marketing talks and sell slots to sponsors. Only meaningful content, only hardcore.
EpicHey! was a new professional conference for developer teams: backend, frontend engineers, product managers, team leaders, QA engineers, and more.

EpicHey! was all about making connections, sharing knowledge and experiences, and having hot discussions in the hallways.

The program was full of amazing talks about people, code, trends, and people again.

All talks underwent a careful selection process by our program committee. There was no chance for marketing talks. Only meaningful content, only hardcore.

Highlights: ≈250 participants, 3 parallel tracks, ≈ 40 speakers, expert zones, lightning talks, and a short sleep break between the first and second conference days.

It was amazing, but never again. Archived.
